I feel very fortunate to have been introduced to Segovia Salon this past winter and have been a return client ever since. From experience I can say that Segovia Salon is just as good as top notch salons in NYC if not better and without being pretentious.
The owner, Maria, is a fantastic colorist, cutter and stylist and always makes me feel comfortable and welcome.My first visit to the salon was following 10 months of letting my hair grow out from a very short cut. Maria gave me a great consultation and suggested that I might lighten my hair to go with the new style she gave me. She takes the time to explain every procedure and process to me. She has taught me how to style my hair very easily and nicely without using product with just a brush and blow dryer.
I have very coarse hair and a lot of it so every stylist that I used in the past would thin my hair with shears and put a bunch of gel, hairspray, etc in my hair. At the start of summer, when I was concerned with humidity causing the frizzes, Maria gave me a Brasiliana keratin treatment that has worked wonders. I have had it for three months and it has held up great. Thanks to Segovia I now I have beautiful manageable hair that is healthy as well.I also want to mention that I love the elevated shampoo sinks. I used to have neck pain for days following a trip to the salon but these sinks seem to do the trick for me.
